About my experience at MBFDZ

Opening night was defiantly the best of all nights, you can never top the first day.  Everything is new and everybody is full of energy. We still had fun on day 2 and 3 though, it was more relaxed and we found time to chat a little longer and take everything in. Before MBFDZ started I was panicking about putting together my looks but in the end I discovered so many things in my closet, I ended up putting together about  10 looks. I was still in my barock mood from the first look, what kind of inspired me for the second on with the red Zara dress and the beautiful barock looking jewels.
Day three was easy, I just through over this airy, animal print dress with a pair of over knees and voila my look was finished. Honestly these boots were one of my best winter investments, so easy to wear and spice up a look.

MBFDZ is a great place to meet new people from the fashion industry and just have a great time. It’s all about celebrating fashion and giving swiss designers a platform to present them selves. The annual Annabelle Awards gives young designers the possibility to win an internship with an international established designer. This time it was Jc. Ccastelbajac (Okay, to be honest I didn’t know this designer before) but we’ve also had designers like Roberto Cavalli, Diana von Fürstenberg or Barbara bui for the Annabelle Award. From the 5 who participated for this internship, my favorite was Nathalie Lukasik. Sadly she didn’t win, but I loved her northern touch and the unexpected elements you can see in the photos below.
Friday was Notte Italiana, so we got to see some great Italien designs. Big time favorite was Vivetta, with the bright color and big prints. Everybody loved this show. A complete contrast to this colorful designer was Di Liborio, dark, lot’s of details and leather presented by a live rock-gothik band. (they were pretty crazy). All in all a great event I look forward to every year.
